Department Overview:
We are recruiting for an Intern DR Analysis to join the Y! Network DR Optimisation & Analysis team. Based in Barcelona, this person will focus primarily on supporting the team who are managing campaigns for EU ISO agencies and their clients.
The team serve a criticial role in the management and optimisation of DR campaigns with the primary objective of exceeding client expectations for the performance of their marketing budgets on the Y!DR Network.
The team regularly interact with the Sales teams who mange clients' overall expectations and campaigns across all Y! products. The team also provide regular feedback to the Media Buying team on the quality of publisher inventory and data, and in collaboration with the Network Yield Management team, on how media buying efforts may improve campaign performance.
The overall objective of the DR Optimisation & Analysis team is to effectively manage campaigns run on the Y!DR Network and maintain the client relationship in coordination with the sales rep.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a team, the Intern - DR Analysis will adopt a supportive role in the optimisation process of display advertising campaigns
- Delivery management with the objective of reaching client ROI goals with support of the DR Analyst Team
- Assess data available to make performance based decisions on media and campaign optimisation in collaboration with the DR Analyst Team
- Assess the campaign objectives and if required request more information in order to effectively optimise the campaign in collaboration with the DR Analyst Team
- Analyse the designated campaigns on the Y!DR Network ensuring optimum delivery and allocation of impressions between campaigns in close collaboration with the DR Analyst Team
- Review and use the appropriate behavioural segments and data available for campaign optimisation in collaboration with the DR Analyst Team
- Client Servicing - while not the main point of contact for the client, the DR Analyst will quite often assume the role of ‘technical expert,’ needing to communicate with the client to explain campaign progress and address any blocking issues in collaboration with the DR Analyst Team
- The Intern - DR Analysis will assist in client reporting needs for the DR Analst Team
- Help drive revenue through good campaign performance whilst considering the implications of net revenue through targeting inventory and data in collaboration with the DR Analyst Team
Requirements:
- BA or QBE
- Strong Analytical skills - a good understanding of analytics and interpretation of data as well as the core drivers of online advertising, marketing and direct marketing in particular
- Passionate and committed to growing DR accounts through hitting performance metrics via analysis and optimisation
- Results orientated with sharp attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with and extracting data from internal systems
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Department Overview:
We are recruiting for an Intern – DR Analysis/Media Support to join the Y! Network DR Optimisation & Analysis and Media Buying teams. Based in Paris, this person will focus primarily on supporting the team who are managing campaigns for French agencies and their clients. The role will also provide administrative support to the Media Buying team, who are responsible for managing inventory supply from our 3rd party publisher clients.
The overall objective of the DR Optimisation & Analysis team is to effectively manage campaigns run on the Y!DR Network and maintain the client relationship in coordination with the sales rep.
The Media Team works closely with the Analyst and Sales teams to ensure an efficient flow of inventory to meet sales demand.

The Editorial & Programming Team focus is to ensure the delivery of brilliant daily experiences and is responsible for content appearing across the Yahoo! network. Our leitmotif is “the right thing, in the right place, at the right time”. The team supports the need for localisation and production tasks that are critical for the right product experience. The team is also responsible for defining the editorial voice and ensuring that it is performed in all markets.
Responsibilities:
- Give support to all Yahoo! properties, especially News, Finance, Cars and Ent products
* follow articles coming in
* select articles for possible today modules packages
* look for required pictures
* change polls and general promotional modules on weekly basis
- Edit Yahoo! front-page headlines tab
* Look articles in Yahoo! News, choose best ones and keep the tab updated
- Support Eurosport with videos and modules updates
* Embed videos in Eurosport articles when required
* Change polls and the rest of FP modules when required
* Help with UGC monitoring
Requirements:
- Journalism student in the last two years of the career and eligible for internships (a deck to prove the enrolment with a university/school is mandatory)
- Strong editorial background
- Web publication knowledge (HTML basics, content manager systems experience)
- Intermediate Photoshop skills
- Fluent in Spanish and in English

Yahoo! Geo Technologies develops technologies that enable Yahoo! to improve geo-relevant experiences and targeting by providing platforms and APIs that understand how people refer to geography and place in the real world.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be embedded within the Geo Technologies GeoInformatics Engineering team in the Yahoo! London office and will assist the group to add large scale open geographic data sets to Yahoo’s core geo-data repository.
- Commencing with the data produced by OpenStreetMap.org, the intern will develop tools and strategies to mine the OSM data for consistency, for concordance with other data sources and will drive feedback reporting to the OSM community.
Requirements:
- An interest in geography and the ecosystems that open data empowers
- A demonstrable ability to produce rapid prototypes in a suitable scripting language that mine large amounts of data
- A demonstrable familiarity with the UNIX operating system and the LAMP application stack
- A willingness to embed within a specialised Engineering team
